W. Jay Grigsby, principal and chief executive officer of NETZEL GRIGSBY ASSOCIATES, INC., is responsible for the firm’s operations in the Western United States. Jay joined the firm in 1996 following a successful 15-year career with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Jay has successfully completed more than 30 multi-million dollar capital / endowment campaigns and studies. His experience in financial development has raised funds for education, health care, social services and the arts by directing multi-million dollar capital and endowment campaigns, and major gifts programs. He also has an extensive background in corporate solicitations. As a not-for-profit executive director, he was responsible for board and staff development, fiscal management, long-range strategic planning, facility and program development and marketing.

Jay has served as a member of the board of directors for the Santa Barbara/Ventura Counties Chapter of AFP. He has also served on the faculty of the UCLA Extension Program on fundraising and has been a guest speaker for the Ventura County Community Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Area Council and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Jay received his Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from California State University at Fullerton.
