A vice president with NETZEL GRIGSBY ASSOCIATES, INC., John has comprehensive knowledge of nonprofit management and fund development. Prior to joining NETZEL GRIGSBY ASSOCIATES, he successfully created a development department for The Scripps Home, a senior living community in Altadena that provides lifetime care and financial security for individuals with limited assets and income.

John has extensive experience in major gifts and annual giving, board development, strategic planning, volunteer training, foundation relations, feasibility studies, and capital campaign management. As a professional development consultant, he has served a wide range of clients in the fields of arts, education and human services.

John also has experience developing school-based community learning centers for the Pasadena Unified School District. In this role he focused on new site start-up and development, community-wide public engagement and long-term program sustainability and site growth.

He is an active member of the Rotary Club of Pasadena, serving as a board member and chairing numerous committees. He is a longtime board member and past-president of the Pasadena Police Foundation and an alumnus of Leadership Pasadena.

John earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the University of the Pacific. He and his wife, Dawn, live in Eagle Rock and have four children.
