A senior vice president for NETZEL GRIGSBY ASSOCIATES, INC., Oliver has over 15 years of fund development and management experience with nonprofit organizations as senior development staff and consultant.

Oliver has developed and directed capital, major gift, annual and special fund campaigns for 35 organizations in the health and human services, education, visual and performing arts, museum, research, civic, religious and housing sectors at the local, state and national level.

He has counseled and worked alongside a variety of staff and volunteer leadership teams to achieve campaign goals ranging from $1.2 to $80 million. Many of these projects have included board development, strategic planning and collaborative partnership components.

Oliver earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Fresno, and held various positions in financial institutions during the first ten years of his career. Prior to consulting, he served in staff roles as Chief Development Officer, Vice President for Operations Consulting, Vice President for Customer Service, Director of Development, and Director of Planning and Development in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors.

Oliver is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and the Vice President of Education for the Association of Fundraising Professionals San Diego Chapter. He is an instructor for University of California San Diego’s Nonprofit Management Certification Program and has presented at a variety of workshops and conferences. Oliver has served on nonprofit boards in the positions of board president, executive vice president, and development and marketing chair.

He lives in San Diego with his life partner and Labrador retriever, and enjoys travel, fitness, entertaining and gardening.
